"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" alcanza el Top Box por segunda semana

LOS ANGELES/NUEVA YORK (Reuters) - "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", la película más popular de la semana pasada, lideró nuevamente la taquilla de Estados Unidos y Canadá tras recaudar 28,4 millones de dólares, superando al éxito espacial de "Guardians of the Galaxy".

"Guardians of the Galaxy" recaudó 24,7 millones de dólares en los cines, según estimaciones de la firma de investigación Rentrak.

"Let's Be Cops", una comedia de acción en la que los actores Jake Johnson y Daman Wayans Jr. pretenden ser agentes policiales de Los Ángeles, recaudó 17,7 millones de dólares y se quedó con el tercer lugar, superando a "The Expendables 3", una cinta protagonizada por Sylvester Stallone y otras estrellas de acción que recaudó 16,2 millones de dólares.

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" es distribuida por Paramount Pictures, una unidad de Viacom Inc. Walt Disney Co se encargó de lanzar "Guardians of the Galaxy".

"The Expendables 3" es distribuida por Lions Gate Entertainment Corp, mientras que "Let's Be Cops" fue lanzada por el estudio 20th Century Fox, una unidad de 21st Century Fox.
